You have a set number of vacation days (we commend companies challenging this norm) and a set budget. If you opt for Italy and dislike gelato and pizza right away (a highly unlikely scenario), you’re stuck. Money and vacation days are gone. You are sad… and we’re sad for you.

Instead of randomly dropping a pin on the map or putting all your eggs in one vacation basket, try a sampler vacation from a bird’s eye perspective! BUT, rather than observing from the air, approach from the sea. Land, sample the area, sail out, and land again. Take a bird’s eye cruise!

Take Europe for example, a ten day itinerary could include nine or ten ports! What a great way to discover countries you want to visit in the future for longer periods of time. On the other hand, if you dislike a port, the next day will be a completely different experience — likely in a completely different country.
